About Artist

Tlingit artist Neeka Cook enjoys exploring the historic and sacred objects of his Tlingit culture. He was born in Ketchikan but raised in Washington, and is of the Eagle/Brown Bear clan, or Chookaneidi. His father is Tsimshian and Haida from the Raven Killer Whale, and his clan hails from the Ice House in Hoonah. Neeka continues to refer his uncle, Fred Fulmer, as a continued influence on his art and culture.
